About Visit Comfort TX

Visit Comfort TX (VCTX) is the official 501(c)6 Destination Marketing Organization for Comfort, Texas — recognized by the Texas Hill Country Trail Region and the Boerne-Kendall County EDC. As Comfort's only organized tourism authority, VCTX is the most complete and accurate source for visitor information, partner businesses, and local events.

Our Core Services

  1. Build Comfort’s digital brand, cultural storytelling presence, and visitor-facing content.

  2. Develop wayfinding and visitor infrastructure that connects downtown, parks, and surrounding rural communities.

  3. Provide small business marketing education and coordinated promotion for local entrepreneurs.

VCTX reaches nearby day-trippers, Hill Country travelers, and regional visitors from Houston, DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and other Texas metro areas.

Meet our Executive Board

  • Missy Ivancovich

    President

    Missy Ivankovich is a local small business owner and the owner of Singing Water Vineyards.

    A founding volunteer of the 2024 Visit Comfort TX pop-up initiative,

    Missy brings a strong commitment to community building, small business collaboration, and the long-term vitality of Comfort’s visitor economy.

    Her leadership helps connect VCTX’s tourism efforts with the local businesses and cultural assets that make Comfort distinct.

  • Gary Louis

    Secretary

    Gary Louie is a retired small business owner and entrepreneur with deep ties to the Comfort community.

    One of the original members of Visit Comfort TX, Gary played a key role in the organization’s formation and incorporation.

    He serves on multiple Comfort nonprofit boards and brings a practical focus on economic growth, civic partnership, and creating opportunities for local businesses.

  • Sarah Kleinwachter

    Treasurer

    Sarah Kleinwachter is the owner of America Reclaimed, a Comfort-based creative storefront and construction business specializing in adaptive reuse, renovation, and design.

    As Treasurer, Sarah brings the perspective of a hands-on local entrepreneur with a strong understanding of Comfort’s historic character, small business needs, and creative economy.

  • Shari Reynolds

    Director of Marketing Communications

    Shari Reynolds is a local hospitality business owner and the owner in Comfort.

    She brings 30+ years of experience in marketing, project leadership, and small business consulting, with a background that includes work with Fortune 100 and a wide range of entrepreneurial clients.

    Shari leads VCTX’s digital strategy, visitor messaging, and data-driven marketing initiatives.

  • Kelly Shy

    Member at Large
    Business management and nonprofit leadership executive with 30+ years of experience.

    Kelly serves as Vice President, JDSM Enterprises; Executive Director, Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; partner, Red Barn Oak Retreat in Comfort and Executive Director, Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
