Experience Bending Branch Winery in Comfort, TX, an award-winning Hill Country destination known for bold wines, innovation, and unforgettable tastings.

About Bending Branch Winery

Bending Branch Winery sits on 56 scenic acres near the Guadalupe River just outside Comfort, offering a distinctive Texas Hill Country wine experience rooted in innovation and craftsmanship.

Established in 2009 by the Young Family, the winery is led by CEO and Executive Winemaker Dr. Bob Young, who has pioneered advanced fermentation techniques and the use of Texas White Oak in the aging process. This commitment to experimentation and sustainability has helped define Bending Branch’s reputation for producing wines that truly express Texas terroir.

Known as the “Tannat House of Texas,” Bending Branch produces its signature bold red alongside a lineup of award-winning wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Picpoul Blanc, Tempranillo, and Souzão.

The winery’s connection with California’s Ursa Vineyards adds another layer to the experience, allowing guests to explore a cross-regional tasting journey shaped by a long-standing collaboration with winemaker Greg Stokes.

Beyond wine, Bending Branch has expanded into bourbon with the launch of Bending Branch 1840 and ChickenDuck, bringing a touch of Kentucky heritage to the Hill Country. Visitors can enjoy all four brands in the newly expanded tasting room, along with handcrafted cocktails.

With multiple honors, including “Best of Herd Texas Winery” and consistent recognition as a top Texas winery, Bending Branch offers a dynamic, award-winning destination for wine lovers.
